SUBMISSIONS
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: We’re looking for previously unproduced, full-length shows for 10 actors or less. (Shows with a history or readings or workshops are welcome.) We accept submissions year-round and we will accept multiple submissions from a single playwright.
WHAT KIND OF PLAY EXCITES US?: Strong stories, bold characters, plays with as much on their heart as on their mind, plays that play with language in inventive ways, plays that explore communities and experiences not normally represented in the theatre.
WHAT WE’RE DOING WITH THE PLAYS WE FIND: Some of the plays we choose will be part of our reading series and will receive a one-night reading with talkback session. Since most writers who submit to us won’t be able to attend, we will audio or video record the reading and send each playwright a copy. Plus, we’ll offer playwrights feedback from the creative team.
Some of the plays we choose will receive a workshop, and the specifics of the workshop will be decided in conjunction with the playwright. IN th ebest case scenario, we will get a week or more with the playwright in attendance, rehearsing the show and developing it with our creative team.
